30 Sept 2025, Kathmandu, Nepal – Nepal will be represented at the upcoming Global Development Conference 2025 (GDC 2025), which is scheduled to take place from October 28 to 30, 2025, in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Among the confirmed participants from Nepal is Charming, who will be joining other global delegates in discussing critical issues related to inclusive digital transformation.
Organized by the Global Development Network (GDN), GDC 2025 is the organization’s flagship event and one of the most anticipated global gatherings on development research and policy. This year’s theme, “Inclusive Digital Transformation: Social Impacts and Technological Innovations,” will explore the role of digital technologies in advancing sustainable development, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
The conference brings together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders from across the globe to engage in high-level, evidence-based dialogue on development challenges. It also includes capacity-building and networking opportunities, distinguishing itself from traditional academic conferences.
GDC 2025 is being co-hosted by FERDI (Foundation pour les Études et Researcher sur le Development International) and CERDI (Center d’Études et de Researcher sur le Development International), under the Pôle Clermontois de Development International (PCDI) initiative.
Participants, including representatives from Nepal, have received official invitation letters from GDN, which will support visa applications and other formal travel requirements. For those supported by GDN, travel assistance may include hotel vouchers and visa support letters.
As the digital revolution continues to reshape economies and societies, the GDC 2025 will provide a vital platform for inclusive dialogue on digital inclusion, equality, and innovation to drive forward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
